CONSUMED- A Short Film
This short form conceptual narrative mixes fiction and hard truth as it explores the intersection of consumption and grief through a regimented dinner party. As guests dine, the story is interrupted with flashbacks focused on the more-than-human components around a common experience that has become increasingly privileged, if not exclusionary. The work explores the complex systems of consumption required of our existence, despite our best attempts to ignore the true costs and broader impacts of upholding the perceived context of our lived experiences- particularly through eating.
